Breastfeeding is natural but that doesn't always mean it comes naturally. A lot of new moms are surprised that their baby doesn't just latch right on after birth and feed perfectly. The truth is, both mom and baby are learning how to breastfeed as they go along. For some, there are just a few things to figure out, while others deal with latch issues, thrush, or other things that can make those early days of nursing a challenge. Fortunately, with the help of someone trained in lactation support, new moms tend to have a lot more success, a longer nursing duration, and feel more confident about it too.
